You can use the command-line interface (CLI) to run AdwCleaner the same functions found in the GUI.
- Open your command line interface.
- Change your directory to the location of the (full name) .exe file.
- Run the command /eula to agree to the end user license agreement.
- Run a command from the table below. When you run a command, the output files are saved in C:\AdwCleaner\Logs or C:\AdwCleaner\Quarantine.
Command-line functions

/clean | Scan and quarantine detections. |
/scan | Scan and list the detections. |
/uninstall | Remove AdwCleaner and its file directories. Caution: This also deletes all quarantined content. |
The following options can be combined with the commands above.
Option | Description |

/noreboot | Scan and quarantine detections without rebooting. Use with the /clean command. |
/path | Change the working directory. When not specified, C:\AdwCleaner is used as working directory to store quarantine, logs, and settings. The directory is created when it doesn't exist. |
/preinstalled | Scan and quarantine detections including preinstalled applications. |
