After Malwarebytes for Mac scans and removes threats, you may be unable to connect to the Internet on your device. The detected threat may have added proxy settings to the network adapter which prevents the internet connection.
To restore the Internet on your Mac device, reboot the system. After the system reboot, if you still can't connect to the Internet, follow the instructions below.
- On your Mac device, go to System Preferences.
- Click Network.
- Click Advanced...
- Click Proxies.
- In the Select a protocol to configure: section, un-check all of the listed items.
- Reboot your Mac device, then confirm you can connect to the Internet.
