Malwarebytes transactions are processed by our two PCI-compliant payment partners:
This article describes the security standards for both of our payment partners.
Verifone (formerly 2Checkout)
Verifone/2Checkout Services are Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 Certified. PCI DSS is the most important security standard for the card payment industry.
All transactions are made using a Secure Sockets Layer connection provided by VeriSign. The data sent from your browser to the Verifone servers is always encrypted. All Verifone servers are certified McAfee Secure and scanned daily by ScanAlert for known vulnerabilities. Additionally, Verifone does not store any sensitive credit card information.
Cleverbridge maintains full compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard to enhance payment card data security and provide a secure ecommerce environment for Malwarebytes’ customers.
All access to the online shop's ordering pages at Cleverbridge is granted using Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology, which encrypts personal information provided during the ordering process. Your personal information is transferred through this secure channel and confidential data is protected against interception by third parties. To ensure this level of security, Cleverbridge systems use a certificate issued by a trusted security provider. All standard web browsers support this technology and automatically accept the certificates from trusted providers. However, no company, including Cleverbridge, can fully eliminate security risks associated with sharing personal information.
Cleverbridge reveals only the last four digits of your credit card number when confirming an order. They send the entire credit card number only to the appropriate payment processor during order processing. Due to the Requirements of the PCI DSS, this transfer is secured using TLS.
