We recommend always running the latest version of the app for the greatest protection. The best way to stay up to date is to turn on automatic updates so your app is updated whenever there is a new version. You can also check for updates on macOS devices using the steps below.
- Open the app by clicking on the Malwarebytes icon
in the menu bar at the top of the screen on your macOS device.
- Click Open Malwarebytes.
- Click Malwarebytes in the menu bar at the top left of your screen.
- Choose Check For Updates...
- If an update is available, it will download and install automatically.
- After updating, the app re-opens to the most current version.
If there are no updates available, a message on the app says you're up to date.
