Malwarebytes Premium on Windows employs Real-Time Protection to actively protect your computer from threats. Real-Time Protection has four layers of protection; Web, Exploit, Malware, and Ransomware to help defend your computer from threats. If Malwarebytes notifies that you are not protected, or Real-Time Protection appears to deactivate on its own, you may see the following Real-Time Protection turned off notification.
You may see this notification if you have:
- manually turned off Real-Time Protection. Refer to Enable or disable Real-Time Protection on Windows device for assistance.
- an outdated version of Malwarebytes for Windows installed. Refer to this article on how to Upgrade to the latest version of Malwarebytes for Windows.
- another antivirus software installed on your computer this may block Real-Time Protection. Refer to Malwarebytes for Windows antivirus exclusions list to add exclusions in the other antivirus software.
