Browser Guard's ad blocker feature protects you from malicious popup ads and from websites that we think are untrustworthy. Some websites restrict access while using Browser Guard. You can add these and other trusted websites to the Allow list to stop Browser Guard from blocking ads on these sites. Only allow a website if you are sure it is safe.
To add a website to the Allow list:
- Open the extension by clicking the icon in your browser's toolbar.
- On Safari browsers, click the Browser Guard icon in your browser's toolbar.
- Click the menu iconin the upper-right corner of the app screen, then click Allow list.
- On Safari browsers, click the Allow list tab.
- On the Allow list screen or Allow list tab, click the +Add website button.
- Enter the website's URL or IP address in the Add a URL or IP address field. For example, https://www.malwarebytes.com/.
- Alternatively, click the link icon to the right of this field to automatically add the address of the website you are currently on. This is not available on the Safari browser.
- In the Disable protections drop-down, click Ad trackers and other protection features you wish to disable for this site.
- Click Add to allow list. Browser Guard will no longer block ads from this site.
Note: If you are using additional ad blockers, they may interfere with Browser Guard's Allow list. Disable other ad blocker apps or extensions before adding trusted sites to the Allow list.
