Malwarebytes Personal Data Remover is a tool that searches data brokers for profiles containing your personal information and asks them to remove those profiles on your behalf. By removing profiles, you're reducing your risk for stalking, relentless marketing spam, and even identity theft. To enable the tool and track the status of your information, you need to first activate your subscription.
You need a Malwarebytes account to activate your subscription. Learn how to create a Malwarebytes account by following our Account Quick Start Guide. If you already have a Malwarebytes account, follow the steps below.
- Sign in to your account.
- Click Subscriptions
in the sidebar to go to the Subscriptions page.
- On the Subscriptions page, locate your Malwarebytes Personal Data Remover subscription.
- Click Activate profile.
- In the pop-up form, enter your first and last name, age, and the state and city where you live.
- You also have the option to enter other names, such as maiden names, and previous states and cities where you lived. This additional information may give you more accurate results.
- When you're done entering information, click Submit.
- Once activation is complete, a screen appears saying your subscription has been activated.
- Click View Dashboard to view the Personal Data Remover dashboard where you can see your scan results, track the removal process, and edit your profile to get more accurate results.
