Steps to activate your Account
Welcome to Malwarebytes! If you purchased through our website, this guide will help you activate your Account.
Once activated, you can manage:
- Billing information
- Subscription renewal
- Manage profile
- And more!
1. After you purchase
After you purchase a subscription, we email you a link to begin setting up your account.
The email is sent to the email address you used when purchasing.
2. Find the invite email
Search your email inbox or spam/junk folder for the invitation email we sent you. The subject of the email is Setup your Malwarebytes Account.
If you cannot find your invitation email, contact us.
3. Set up your account
Open your account invitation email, then click GET STARTED.
The Set up account form populates the Email field with your email address.
4. Create a password
Enter a password, then re-enter the password to confirm. Your password must have:
- At least 8 characters
- 1 uppercase letter
- 1 lowercase letter
- 1 number
- 1 special character (ex.%#$)
5. Finish creating your account
Check I'm not a robot, then click Sign in.
6. Welcome to the Overview page
After creating an account, you'll be automatically signed in. Close any pop-up that may appear to see the Overview page.
From this page, you can:
- View your subscription and its expiration date
- Use shortcuts to quickly access your subscription details, billing information, and more!
7. Check out the Subscriptions page
Click Subscriptions in the side bar to see the Subscription page.
From this page, you can:
- See your current subscriptions
- Activate devices
- Manage auto-renewal
- Update your payment information and billing address
- Click Explore upgrade options to add more devices or upgrade your subscription (if eligible)
8. Check out the Identity Protection page
Click Identity Protection in the side bar to see the Identity protection page. From this page you can:
From this page, you can:
- Run a Digital Footprint Scan to see if your information has been exposed.
- Manage your Identity subscription, if you have one.
9. Check out the Personal Data Remover page
Click Personal Data Remover in the sidebar to see the Personal Data Remover page. From this page, you can:
- Run a free Personal Data Remover scan.
- View your scan results and removal status, if you have a subscription for Personal Data Remover.
10. Check out your profile settings
Click on your name in the top right corner of the screen, then click Settings to view your profile. On this page, you can:
- Change your email
- Change your password
- Manage notifications
11. You're done!
You've successfully created an account and seen how you can manage your subscriptions, billing information, and devices. Congrats!
