Activate your subscription for Desktop Security

Activating your subscription by signing into your Malwarebytes account is the easiest and fastest way to get started with the app. With an account, you can manage your subscription and devices from a single place. If you don't have one, you can learn how to create an account here.

Once the app is installed on your computer, activate the app with your account login. To activate, follow the steps below.

1. Open the app.
2. Click Activate subscription at the top of the dashboard.
3. Enter your account email and password.
4. Click Sign in. We will send you an email with a code to verify your account.
5. Enter the verification code sent to your email, then click Verify email.
6. After verifying, a screen appears saying your subscription has been activated.
7. Click Finish to close the screen.

Other ways to activate your subscription

If you have a license key or license key and ID, create your Malwarebytes account and link your license key to your account. Then, activate your subscription by signing into your account as described in the section above.

You can activate your subscription with an MB code. If you have our Mobile Security app installed and activated on your Android or iOS device, you can generate an MB code. For instructions on how to generate an MB code click here.
