How this issue affects you
When accessing a website, service, or app, the location displayed does not match the selected VPN server location.
What caused this issue
The discrepancy in device locations can be caused by:
- Running another VPN at the same time as our VPN app.
- The website, service, or app you are visiting has outdated data.
- You downloaded and are using a torrent app or service on a device that does not support it.
How to resolve this issue
- On the Mobile Security Dashboard, confirm that the VPN is toggled On.
- Turn off other VPNs running on your device.
- Visit https://www.malwarebytes.com/vpn and view the gray banner with IP information at the top of the screen.
- Verify that your device's location in the gray banner matches the selected VPN server location.
If your VPN server location still doesn't match the VPN server you selected, contact support and request to create a ticket.
