Trusted Advisor in Mobile Security monitors your device and gives you a Protection Score based on the security issues it finds on your device. It then recommends solutions to these issues, such as adjusting settings and permissions, running a scan, or updating your device.
How your Protection Score is calculated
The Protection Score is shown as a gauge on the main dashboard, along with a percentage score and a rating. Your score is calculated based on what features or settings are available to you. When you turn off a feature or setting, your Protection Score lowers. When you turn on a feature or setting, your Protection Score raises.
Depending on your score, your rating could be Excellent, Very good, Good, Fair, or Poor. If you have an Excellent score (100%), you've enabled all of the app's protection capabilities available to you with your subscription. Congrats!
Resolve issues on the Trusted Advisor screen
On the Trusted Advisor screen is a list of security issues that affect your device. These issues can be quickly resolved to give your device extra layers of protection. To view and resolve an issue:
- Open the app.
- Under the gauge, tap Boost your score.
- You are now on the Trusted Advisor screen.
- Tap an issue to view the recommended resolution.
- Tap the blue button at the bottom of the screen to resolve the issue.
- Once you resolve an issue, it will appear under the Completed section.
Ignore issues to address later
If an issue does not apply to your device, you can tap it and then select Ignore issue to stop seeing it. This improves your score and stops Trusted Advisor from sending notifications or reminders about that issue. Ignored issues appear under Ignored items and can be restored later. To restore an ignored item:
- Open the app.
- Tap Boost your score.
- Tap Ignored items.
- Tap the item you wish to restore.
- On the Issue description screen, tap Remove from ignored.
