Transfer your Browser Guard settings to another browser by using the export and import settings features. These features are available in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox browsers, on Windows devices that have Desktop Security installed with an active trial or subscription.
Export your Browser Guard settings
The Export settings feature creates a file you can use to copy settings from your current browser. Use the export file to apply the settings to other browsers on the same device, or on different devices. Transfer the export file to another device using a USB drive or a cloud storage solution, like Google Drive or Box.
- In your configured browser, open Browser Guard.
- Click the menu icon and select Import & Export.
- On the Import & Export screen, locate the Export settings section.
- Select the settings you want to export:
- Allow list
- Blocked items
- Content Control
- Settings
- Click Export.
- Once the export action is completed, the export file is added to your device's Downloads folder.
Import Browser Guard settings onto new browser
The Import settings feature applies the settings from the export file you created to your other browsers.
- In the new browser, open Browser Guard.
- Click the menu icon , and select Import & Export.
- On the Import & Export screen, locate the Import settings section.
- Click +Add file. A navigation window opens to locate the export file.
- Locate and open the export file.
- Once the import action is completed, a success message displays.
