Personalize your browsing experience by blocking content you don't wish to see. The Content Control feature in Browser Guard blocks websites based on the website's URL, domain, or IP address. This feature is available on Chrome, Edge, and Firefox browsers, and on Windows devices that have Desktop Security installed with an active trial or subscription.
In the upper-right corner of the Browser Guard screen, access the Content Control screen through the menu icon .
Block access to a website by adding it to the Content Control list
Add a website to prevent you from navigating to the website.
- On the Content Control screen, click the +Add Website button.
- Enter the website's domain, URL, or IP address in the Add a URL or IP address field.
- Alternatively, click the link icon to the right of the field to automatically add the address of the website you are currently on.
- Click Add to list. The website is added to the Content Control list.
Search for a blocked website
Search for a website to see if is in the list, or to identify a site you want to delete.
- On the Content Control screen, click the magnifying glass icon at the top of the table to display the search box.
- Enter the website name, domain, URL, or IP address in the search field. Matching websites show in the list below.
- Click the X button to close the search box.
Delete a website from the Content Control list to access it
To delete all websites in the Content Control list:
- On the Content Control screen, click the menu icon at the top of the table.
- Click Delete all websites.
- In the confirmation window, click Yes, delete.
To delete a single website from the Content Control list:
- On the Content Control screen, click the menu icon next to the website you want to remove from the Content Control list.
- Click Delete website.
- In the confirmation window, click Yes, delete.
