Malwarebytes updated our cloud platform on March 21, 2019.

As a customer of this platform, we want to take a moment to familiarize you with the changes that are about to become available.

With this latest cloud platform update, we are continuing to improve for greater scalability and detection efficiency. The features also provide simplified management of common everyday tasks to save time and enhance usability together with the granularity needed for businesses with complex security requirements.

New Features

  • Malwarebytes Cloud Console now features policy-level exclusion options. Exclusions can now be applied at either an individual policy level or globally across your organization. This allows you to adjust your security posture to meet the specific needs of different groups within the organization.

  • Single Sign-On now supports service provider initiated login (solicited SSO), in addition to the ability to enable Just-in-Time (JIT) provisioning.
    • If the Service Provider Initiated SSO setting is enabled, the Malwarebytes Cloud Console will use the email address during login to determine if a user is with your identity provider. If the lookup is successful, the user will be redirected to your identity provider’s Authentication methods.
    • The Just-in-Time (JIT) Provisioning option allows IT administrators to determine whether an initial login to the Malwarebytes Cloud Console will automatically create a local Malwarebytes Cloud user account. This will remove the need to manage identities in two places making account provisioning simple.
