Collect Malwarebytes Endpoint Security logs on an unmanaged client

If a local Windows machine encounters issues with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Anti-Exploit, or Anti-Ransomware products, our Business Support team may request diagnostic logs to provide assistance. This article shows how to find and collect these logs on unmanaged clients. These logs can then be sent as email attachments to Malwarebytes Business Support.

 

Perform the following steps on the machine experiencing issues.

 

Collect Malwarebytes Anti-Malware logs

  1. Open File Explorer from your Taskbar.

  2. Go to the following folder path:
    C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs

  3. Press Ctrl + a to select all the files in the directory > right-click the selected files > Send to > click Compressed (zipped) folder to create a zipped folder of the Anti-Malware logs.

Collect Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit logs

  1. Open File Explorer from your Taskbar.

  2. Go to the following folder path:
    C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit

  3. Press Ctrl + a to select all the files in the directory > right-click the selected files > Send to > click Compressed (zipped) folder to create a zipped folder of the Anti-Exploit logs.

Collect Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware logs

  1. Open File Explorer from your Taskbar.

  2. Go to the following folder path:
    C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MB3Service\logs

  3. Press Ctrl + a to select all the files in the directory > right-click the selected files > Send to > click Compressed (zipped) folder to create a zipped folder of the Anti-Ransomware logs.

  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the following folder paths:
    • C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MB3Service\ArwDetections
    • C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MB3Service\ARW 

 

 

Send collected logs to Malwarebytes Business Support

After gathering the needed logs, attach the zipped folder(s) to the e-mail in your reply back to the Malwarebytes support agent.
