When will Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit for Business reach End of Life (EOL)?

Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit for Business will reach End of Life (EOL) on August 28, 2018.

What will happen to the remainder of my subscription after EOL?

If you have any time remaining on your Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit for Business subscription after the End of Life (EOL) date on August 28, 2018, your subscription will be automatically migrated to Malwarebytes Endpoint Security, which includes anti-malware, anti-exploit, anti-ransomware and malicious website protection for the remainder of your subscription term, at no extra change.

To take advantage of the additional protection features, go to My Account and access your additional license keys. If you do not have an account, please contact Business Support and provide the subscription information and email address from your original purchase document. If you purchased your original subscription through a reseller, please contact your reseller for updated subscription and licensing information.

What are my options for migrating to another product after EOL?

If you do not wish to use Malwarebytes Endpoint Security after Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit for Business reaches EOL, you may choose to upgrade to Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection, our third generation endpoint protection agent. This comprehensive product provides anti-malware, anti-exploit, anti-ransomware, and machine learning technologies as well as malicious website protection in a single endpoint agent and through a cloud-based management console. Please note that this upgrade is subject to a price increase representing the difference in cost for the remainder of the subscription.

If your subscription is for a very small business and you need to protect fewer than 20 devices, you may consider moving to Malwarebytes for Teams when your subscription comes up for the next renewal.

Can I choose to keep using Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit for Business?

The on-premise management console and anti-exploit agent that were available with Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit for Business will continue to be available as part of Malwarebytes Endpoint Security after August 28, 2018, so you may continue to use these components after the EOL date.  However, we strongly encourage you to install all of the components of Malwarebytes Endpoint Security once you become entitled to them. The best protection today consists of a layered approach using multiple technologies that protect at all levels of the threat attack chain, including anti-malware, anti-exploit, anti-ransomware, and malicious website protection.  By choosing only to continue to use the anti-exploit component, you will remain unprotected from ransomware and other advanced threats.

Am I entitled to a refund of the remainder of my subscription?

No -- since we have a comparable and superior product available, Malwarebytes Endpoint Security, you will be entitled to use this product for the remainder of your subscription term at your existing price.

See our EULA and Product Lifecycle Policy for more details. Please note that once your current subscription ends, your renewal price for Endpoint Security is subject to an increase to list price.
