Anti-Malware for Mac v1.2.4 freezes/crashes

An issue with Anti-Malware for Mac v1.2.4 and earlier versions running on Mac OS X 10.8 has been reported where the app is freezing or crashing.

 

Anti-Malware for Mac v1.2.4 and earlier versions are considered "Legacy" products because they are past their End of Life date.  If you are able to run Anti-Malware for Mac, you may continue to use the older product version at your own risk, but ongoing protection updates are not guaranteed. This is because we are always looking for more efficient and more advanced detection techniques for our protection updates, which may not be compatible with older versions of our software.  Refer to Malwarebytes Lifecycle policy for more information.

 

If you are running Mac OS X 10.9, we recommend you upgrade to Anti-Malware for Mac v1.3.1.  Refer to Install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac for the download link and installation instructions.

 

If you are running Mac OS X 10.10 - macOS 10.13, we recommend you download and install the latest version of Malwarebytes for Mac.  Refer to Install Malwarebytes for Mac for the download link and installation instructions.
