Add exclusions to the Malwarebytes cloud platform

You can exclude applications, files, registry keys, and IP addresses in the Malwarebytes cloud platform.  Exclusions help prevent your Malwarebytes software from detecting and quarantining trusted items on the computers in your network.


Exclusions set in the Malwarebytes cloud platform are global, meaning they are applied to every computer with Malwarebytes Endpoint Agent installed.  Configure your exclusions according to the needs of your network.


  1. Log on to the Malwarebytes cloud platform.

  2. Click Settings > Exclusions.

  3. In the upper right corner, click New.

  4. On the Exclusions page, choose the type of exclusion you want to enter.  Scroll down to see more options.

  5. In the text box, enter the item you want to exclude as shown in the example below.
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16\EXCEL.EXE

  6. Click OK.

  7. Repeat steps 3 - 6 for every exclusion you need to add.
