One of the best features of any Scan and Remediation software is the ability to scan specific files on our computers. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware has this features too, and by default this feature is turned on. Here are some brief directions on how to use it.

To scan a specific file, folder, drive, or group of files with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM), please do the following:

  1. Navigate to the file, folder, or other item you wish to scan
  2. Right-click the item, and then click Scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

If you do not have this option, you can enable the right-click scan option by following these instructions.

  1. Open MBAM v.2.x
  2. Click Settings -> General Settings
  3. Click Yes for Explorer context menu entry
  4. Close MBAM v.2.x.
