One of the best features of a security software is the ability to scan a specific file, folder, or location, while you are browsing your computer. Malwarebytes has the capability to launch a Threat Scan upon one or more individual files or directories from within Windows Explorer by using the context menu that becomes available when the files/directories are right-clicked. If you would like to toggle this setting "ON" or "OFF", turn on the software by double clicking the icon on your desktop.

To toggle "On" or "Off" context menu scanning in Malwarebytes 3:

  1. Click the Settings tab in the left pane.
  2. Click the Application tab in the top pane.
  3. Scroll down the page to Windows Context Menus.
  4. By default, the setting is ON. Click the green switch to change the setting to OFF.
