Why do I receive a message stating that my version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is not compatible?

When installing Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, you may receive the following message.



This error occurs when Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium is attempting to install over an existing version that would cause problems.

If you receive this message and you are installing on your home system with a PRO or Premium license, you will need to uninstall the existing version of Malwarebytes, refer to KB article, Uninstall Malwarebytes 3 using Windows Control Panel . Then, install the latest version of Malwarebytes  again. This is due to an unfortunate bug on our end, which should be addressed in future versions.
