Exclude items from scanning and real-time protection for Managed Clients

To exclude items, such as IP addresses, files, folders, or registry keys, from scanning and real-time protection for your Managed Clients, add the items to the Management Console's Ignore List. You can exclude items using one of the following methods.

  • Edit a Policy.
  • Add from Client module.
  • Add from Security logs.

 

Edit a Policy

  1. Log in to the Malwarebytes Management Console as an administrator.

  2. Click Policy.

  3. Click on a policy, then click Edit.

  4. Click the Ignore List tab.

  5. Enter trusted filenames, directories, registry keys and IP addresses in the text field you wish Malwarebytes to ignore > click OK to save changes.

 

Add from Client module

When an item is excluded from the Client module, its added to the same policy the client is currently assigned to.

 

  1. Log in to the Malwarebytes Management Console as an administrator.

  2. Click Client.

  3. Click the client that detected the item you want to exclude > click Security Logs tab.

  4. Right-click the detected item, then click Add to Anti-Malware Ignore List.

Add from Security logs

  1. Log in to the Malwarebytes Management Console as an administrator.

  2. Click Client > Threat View.

  3. Right-click the detection you wish to whitelist.

  4. Click Exclude this Object to whitelist the item in a policy on the original machine that detected it.

    Or, click Exclude this object for All Clients to whitelist the item on all policies.
